Skein Winder

That is indeed a fancy electric skein winder. It will do up to 10 skeins at a time and I can set it to do a predetermined amount of yardage. It really frees up a lot of time when I am doing skeins for dyeing.
Glad to hear you like the colours.

SUPERWASH MERINO MILL ENDS

Now for the wool sorting part. This is my SUPERWASH MERINO MILL ENDS FIBRE. Here are some photos of what it looks like when I get it. The bags have to be sorted into the different colours, weighed, labelled and photographed before being listed for sale on eBay and here in the shop. We average 250 - 300 pounds arriving weekly, so you know what I mean by "knee deep in wool" and why I have not been keeping up with the posting.

MERINO/SEACELL YARN

My second new yarn is 70/30 SUPERWASH MERINO/SEACELL 2 PLY. This is a wonderfully soft yarn with great sheen. It knits at 26 stitches over 4 inches on a 3mm needle and has 1540 yards per pound. I have this in natural as well as all these gorgeous hand dyed colours and will be adding more colours regularly.

Happy Spring

Well it has been a while since my last post. I have been elbow deep in dye pots and knee deep in wool sorting.
Lots to show and tell.
I have a new yarn to introduce. This is my 100 % SUPERWASH MERINO 4 PLY
It knits at 22 stitches over 4 inches on a 4mm needle and has 1680 yards per pound. I have hand dyed all of the colours, natural is also available.
